Researcher and teacher at FlindersUniversity, Adelaide, Australia. Her main interests are in understanding what makes progressive primary health care and health promotion work, including processes of participation and in understanding the global, national and local causes of health inequities and how they can be reduced. She is an active member of the International People’s Health Council and the People’s Health Movement and a member of the WHO Commission on the Social Determinants of Health. Contributed to IPHU Course in Cuenca in 2005 and the Vancouver Workshop in June 2007.
