CDES (Center for Social and Economic Rights) Board Member.
Activism: ALAMES (Latin American Social Medicine Association) Ecuador co-coordinator. Ecuador Decide (NO Free Trade Agreement platform) member since 2000. Part of the Grupo Nacional de Deuda (National Debt Group) 2007- 2010: a coalition of NGOs and activists that follow the results of the International Debt Audit in Ecuador. Group coordinator for the Healthy consumption, water and food sovereignity Working group in the Health Action Network / Universidad Andina Simón Bolivar collective that presented a draft proposal for the health portion of the New Ecuadorian Constitution (2008) with the input of more than 50 civil society organizations. Technical support for FENOCIN (National Confederation of Peasants, Indigenous and Afro Ecuadorian organizations). Novel researcher for the Teasdale Corti Project (Revitalizing PHC) financed by Umea University.
Active in PHM since 2005. Member of the Latin America Movilization Comission for PHA3.
Currently works as Health Projects Officer for fos (Socialist Belgium Solidarity) in Ecuador.
Research interests: Intercultural health, ethnicity, interculturalidad, feminism, social organizations.
