Remco van de Pas, medical doctor, degree in international public health. Working experience in mental health care in the Netherlands, and Primary Health Care including HIV/TB programs in El Salvador, Darfur and West-Papua, Indonesia. Affiliated as health policy adviser with the Wemos Foundation, involved in policy research, analysis and advocacy related to governance for health. Focus on health workforce policies and international migration, reform of the WHO; global governance for health, including environmental and nutritional determinants; global health diplomacy and the role of the EU. Teaching appointments at the universities of Maastricht, Nijmegen, Rotterdam and WHO -Euro on governance for health. Research assignment with Dutch Centre for Sustainable Development on Global Health Impacts for the Netherlands. Board Member of Medicus Mundi International (MMI) network; member Netherlands public health federation and European Public health Alliance. Member of Green Party health working group. Involved with PHM since 2003, participated in IPHU course Cuenca 2005. Alternate member of the PHM steering council on behalf of MMI since 2012.
